Thanks to the efforts of Chinese LCD display manufacturers, the price of the display has fallen a lot.
According to Japanese media reports, the preferential price of 32-inch LCD panels in January fell by 9 percent from the previous month, and the decline reached 40 percent in one year. This phenomenon can be seen. It is the result of the best efforts of Chinese display screen manufacturers. Prices will continue to fall until around March.
Currently, 55-inch LCD panels cost about 143 U.S. dollars each, and 65-inch LCD panels are about 220 U.S. dollars, both of which are down 3 percent from the previous month. Compared with the previous year, it has dropped by 20 percent and 30 percent . With the help of local government subsidies, mainland Chinese companies are enhancing equipment and improving production capacity.
Previous statistics from Sigmaintell Consulting showed that BOE has surpassed LG to become the world's largest supplier of LCD TVs and display panels. In the meantime, BOE shipped 54.3 million TV panels and 37.3 million display panels in 2018. In contrast, LG's figure is 48.6 million and 34.5 million.
The industry chain is still focused. In 2019, global LCD display shipments will continue to rise, mainly because Huayuan Display and ZTE Broadcasting are also working in this field, and pricing will become more aggressive.
